Loser of the Week: Tiger Woods

While it’s obvious that Tiger Woods is a groundbreaking golfer, he unfortunately takes home the title of Loser of the Week for an unexplained accident that occurred last week in the driveway of his $2.4 million dollar Florida home.

Known for his highly guarded private life, the rumor mills have never spun this fast after all Tiger Woods related info until now. The husband and father of two is reported to have pulled his 2009 Cadillac Escalade out of the driveway of his home around 2:30 am. Shortly thereafter he allegedly struck a fire hydrant and tree outside of his mansion. Found by emergency responders, Woods reportedly had lacerations on his face and blood pouring from his mouth.

The terrible traffic crash remains under investigation, with charges pending. Reports say that drugs and / or alcohol were not a factor in the crash. In a statement Woods says that his Swedish model wife, Elin, was the first person to come to his rescue; allegedly knocking out the windows of his SUV with a golf club to rescue him.

"My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble," he said. "She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”

Other assertions claim that Mr. and Mrs. Woods, who were married in Barbados and live in an uber exclusive gated community, were engaged in a heated domestic dispute after she learned that he’d engaged in an extra marital affair. While the “other woman” in question claims not to know Woods, she was allegedly spotted in his hotel. She’s also said to have a reputation for courting married men, particularly celebrities.

"This is a private matter and I want to keep it that way. Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible," the 33 year old golfer contests.

Admitting that this situation is embarrassing to both he and his family, the billionaire athlete refuses to go public with any further details. He has even turned down interview requests from the Florida Highway Patrol and Florida troopers.

Canceling his annual Chevron World Challenge Golf Tournament, this week in California, as of press time, Tiger Woods finally made a public statement. "I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart," Woods said. Woods was responding to recent reports that not only linked him to one extra-marital affair, but three! Tiger and Elin Woods are now said to be in martial counseling. Woods is also said to be re-evaluating the couple's pre-nuptial agreement.

While we wish Tiger Woods and his family the best, he is still named Ocean Splash’s! Loser of the Week!
